We Bring Life: Core Values

“When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

“Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

“Who or what is the rock?” Part of the confusion arises from the fact that the Greek words for “Peter” and for “rock” are similar, but the meanings are different.

  • “Petros” means “a stone or loose rock;”
  • “Petra” means rock, such as a rocky ledge

Jesus is the rock, the foundation that the church is built on.

The church is an unstoppable force created by God for the glory of God to reveal the person and power of God.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:42-47

Our core values

1. REAL: Jesus never required anyone to get their act together before accepting them. He loves us so much that he leads us into a better way of living.

  • We are called to welcome sinners and saints alike and that’s messy.

2. RELEVANT: Jesus speaks to current issues and events. We are committed to being relevant because the bible is always relevant.

  • Jesus wants us to be a church that is deep and wide. Deep in our understanding of scripture and wide in our reach and application of it.

  • We value being relevant because they bible is relevant.

3. RELATIONAL: Jesus loves people where they are. We love people because they matter to God and therefore matter to us.

  • We are to extend the love of Christ to people.

4. INSPIRING: Jesus lifted those around Him to new levels of faith, courage and purpose. That is why we endeavor to inspire others to fulfill their God-given potential.

  • Jesus inspires us to live our best life today.
  • As a church we want to inspire people by living out our faith.

5. GENEROUS: Jesus personified generosity when He held nothing back. We serve and give generously bringing life to every community we are in.

We are not an outdated, fake, irrelevant, boring, and cheap church, we are real, relevant, relational, inspiring and generous.
