1 Timothy 6:11-12
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
The word fight here means to contend for something important.
It also has a military meaning in contest or conflict we are in a battle.
The thing we all have to realize is that we are in a fight every single day.
Romans 12:18
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.
1 Peter 5:8
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
The problem is to many believers are fighting the wrong enemy.
Ephesians 6:10-13
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
We have got to stop fighting against people and start fighting for people!
Matthew 6.25-27
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your lifee ?
It is time that we start fighting for the things that matter most!
The reason is because to many have allowed the expectations of others to be a louder voice than the Holy Spirit.
Romans 12:2
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
We need to discover Gods plan for our life!

2 Kings 4:8-37
The Shunamite woman was a woman that was living a good life and she recognized the man of God and honored him. (v. 8-10)
Elisha saw this and made an amazing offer. (v.11-13)
She was content (v.13)
Many times God loves to bless the ones who are thankful and grateful for what they have.
She was a little hesitant with the offer (v. 14-16)
Sometimes it is easier to accept good when God has something better!
Than tragedy struck! (v.18-21)
What do we do when God promise lies dead? Fight or flight?
She chose to fight the only way she knew. (v.22-25)
Her faith and fight is beyond my comprehension! (v.26)
“Everything is alright” what faith, she was speaking what she knew God could do not just how she felt!!!
We have to learn to fight with the strength of who God is and what he can do and not always be led by what we see and feel!
2 Cor 5:7
7 For we live by faith, not by sight.
She returned her promise to sender! (v.27-36)
She determined in her heart she was going to fight for her son until he was well!
It is easy to become discouraged and allow our fight to be taken from us!
Romans 8.37-39
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
