For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. —Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)
Question: How
Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.
—Psalms 147:5 (NIV)
Our God is mighty enough to
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each
of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty
strength, not one of them is missing. —Isaiah 40:26 (NIV)In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
—Genesis 1:1 (NIV)In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through
him all things were made; without him nothing was made that
has been made. —John 1:1-3 (NIV)
Our God is mighty enough to
You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our
Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest
seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed
yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the
roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. —Psalms 65:5-7 (NIV)
Our God is mighty enough to
Our fathers, when they were in Egypt, did not consider your
wondrous works; they did not remember the abundance of your
steadfast love, but rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea. Yet he
saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his
mighty power. He rebuked the Red Sea, and it became dry, and

down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I
have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received
from my Father. —John 10:17-18 (ESV)

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death
in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the
glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been
united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be
united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our
old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin
might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. —Romans 6:4-6 (NIV)What is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. —Ephesians 1:19-23 (ESV)
