Romans 1:8-17
1. The Church Glorifies God When:
a. She
Ephesians 1:15, “This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints…”
Revelation 1:4-5, “Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits, before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth.”
1 Corinthians 2:4-5, “My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not be based on human wisdom but on God’s power.”
b. Her
1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.”
Hebrews 10:24-25, “And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day approaching.”
1 Corinthians 12:7, “A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good…”

Romans 15:25, “Right now I am traveling to Jerusalem to serve the saints…”
1 Corinthians 1:20-23, “Where is the one who is wise? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of what is preached. For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.”

Matthew 5:15-16, “No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
