- A Few of Paul’s Female Co-workers in Ministry:
• Priscilla, teacher and pastor (Acts 18:2,18–19,26; Rom.
16:3–5; 1 Cor. 16:19; 2 Tim. 4:19)
• Phoebe, deacon (Rom. 16:1)
• Chloe, church leader (1 Cor. 1:11)
• Junia, apostle (Rom. 16:7)
• Romans 16:1–16: Of the 10 colleagues Paul praises for
their Christian ministry, 7 are women.
Any verses that seem to limit female leadership need to be
understood in the context of Jesus’ and Paul’s purposeful
empowerment of women.
What can men do?
• Receive from women.
• Intentionally create space for female voices.
• Embrace co-leadership in marriage.What can women do?
• Believe in God’s call.
• Decide to show up.
