Isaiah 41:10
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
Matthew 10:29-31
Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all counted. So do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
The 3 Stages of Parenting:
• Caregiving
• Coaching
• Consulting
The Caregiving Phase of Parenting:
(Birth through pre-adolescence)
1. You are responsible for all aspects of their lives—you are the guard at the gate!
2. Discipline comes from you but always points to God.
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Proverbs 29:17
Correct your son, and he will give you comfort;
He will also delight your soul.
The Coaching Phase of Parenting:
(Adolescence through early adulthood)
1. They are learning how to master their own will.
2. You are on the sidelines. You are giving instruction, training, and encouragement. But you are not the one playing the game.
Hebrews 12:14-15
Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many become defiled;

The Consulting Phase of Parenting:
(They have reached adulthood and are on their own)
1. You only give advice when asked.
2. They make their own choices, good or bad.
3. You encourage, you pray, and you make yourself available.
This is the God you serve:
Exodus 34:6
