Living It Out This Week
Hope is a powerful and necessary in order to truly live; without it we just exist. Hope is grounded in reality and more importantly the truth we find in Scripture. May these passages helps you ground your hope in the anchor of our faith—Jesus!
Sunday-Hebrews 6.13-20: One of only two places in Scripture were anchors are talked about. How does the image of an anchor help you understand true hope? What promises of Jesus are you holding on to?
Monday-Genesis 22.1-19: This passage is the background of the Hebrews 6. What do you notice about Abraham implicit hope in God? What does hope look like from this passage? How does this story challenge you?
Tuesday-Hebrews 13.20-21: Notice the different aspects of Jesus in this verse. What do you need to hold on to in regards to Jesus?
Wednesday-Hebrews 7.22-28: Jesus is the final word! When Jesus does or says something it is the end of the conversation. Jesus will fulfill His word every time!
Thursday-Romans 15.12-13: Notice the connection Paul is making between Jesus, peace, joy and hope. How would you describe the interconnectedness of all of these traits? Pray this prayer of Paul over your loved ones today!
Friday-1 Peter 1.3-12: We have a living hope because Jesus is alive. We have been given a great portion of mercy and have a promise about the future. Spend some time praising God today for your hope!
Saturday-John 1.14: Join us in worship tomorrow! Pray for our worship tomorrow. Pray that our eyes would see the Lord! Invite someone to church.
