10/06 - 10/07: THE CLEATS OF PEACE - Ephesians 6:15
October 14, 2024

A YEAR OF PRAYER

A PRAYER TO STAND FIRM IN THE BATTLE

Standing firm in the battle with the full armor of God

10  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14  Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness.
15  and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; —Ephesians 6:10 - 15

THE CLEATS OF PEACE

And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace. —Ephesians 6:15 (AMPC)

The courage to stand firm with the cleats of the Gospel of peace is only found in the power of the cross.

  • Peace through the power of the cross
  • Peace by position
  • Peace with your past
  • Peace without performance

15  And Moses built an altar and called its name, The-Lord-Is-My-Banner;
16  for he said, “Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.” —Exodus 17:15 - 16
