- Abraham’s life teaches us to keep trusting God.
Genesis 12:1-3
1The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
2“I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
3I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you.”
Am I really following God?
Go to the land I will show you
Just close your eyes and take my hand.
Genesis 11:31 Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there.
Go yourself out
At some point in your life, you’ve got to make your own decision to follow God.
Do I trust God with my future?
God was calling Abram to a whole new basis of life.
You can trust an unknown future to a known God.
Are my hands open or closed toward God?
God is telling Abraham hold on to what you have, and you’ll end up empty or offer your life without restriction to Me and you and the world around you will be filled.
Will you let God have free reign to speak to you I this area?
