i. How does the remnant discussed both in Elijah’s day (1 Kings 19) and Paul’s day give us hope today as we watch what appears to be the disintegration of the American Church?

3. Read Romans 11:6
i. Why are grace and works incompatible?

4. Read Romans 11:7-10
i. Why does God “give them a spirit of stupor” or harden those who reject His grace? Is salvation hopeless for these individuals? Why or why not?
