Tell Your Story Group Guide

Ice Breaker:
Which of the five senses are you most grateful for?

Passage:
This week’s sermon was from John 9 which tells the story of a blind man who was healed by Jesus. Later, when the man is questioned about what had occurred and who Jesus was, he responded by saying, “One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” John 9:25

Discussion:
1. Did anything stick out to you from the message, or do you have any questions?
2. The blind man simply told the story of what happened to him. How can it benefit you to tell your story about Jesus in your life? How can it benefit others?
3. The blind man didn’t have all the answers about who Jesus was. All he knew for sure was his own story. Take time now to share some of your own story. Here are some ideas to help you get started:
• Tell how you met Jesus for the first time
• Tell about your journey of faith (was it instant or a process)
• Talk about a time you felt Jesus was real in your life
• Tell about a time that God clearly answered your prayer
• Tell about a season where God worked in your life
• Share a way that your life has changed since knowing Jesus
Try to keep your time to 10 minutes or less so there is time for everyone to share.

Pray:
Share prayer requests and end your discussion by praying for each other.
