Prayer for Our Homes and Families

Day One

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
—Joshua 24:15

Today let’s turn our focus towards our homes and families. As Frisco continues to grow and evolve, so do the dynamics within our nuclear families and the larger family of God. Our homes are not just physical structures, but places where faith is nurtured, love is shared, and God’s presence is felt. In the midst of busy schedules, diverse challenges, and the excitement of our new church building, our families must be anchored in the Word and love of Christ.

Father, we lift up every home and family within our church body. We ask for your blessing and guidance in nurturing homes where the gospel is primary. Help us to lead our families with wisdom, patience, and understanding rooted in your Word. May our homes be places of stability and peace. May they overflow with hospitality, extending a welcome into the family of God. Lord, lead and protect us as we strive to be in the world but not of the world. Amen.

As you go through your day:
1. Praise God for the gift of family, naming those that he has given you—both those who share your home and the mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters he’s given you in the church.
2. Pray for strength and wisdom in leading your family in the ways of God.
3. Ask God to help your family grow in faith together, supporting and uplifting one another in love and understanding.
