Read 1 Peter 1:13-25, Matthew 4:4, Hebrews 4:12 ESV

Question 42 of the New City Catechism (available in an app and book) asks, “How is the Word of God to be read and heard?” Answer: with diligence, preparation, and prayer; so that we may accept it with faith and practice it in our lives. Why is it crucial for Christians to both receive God’s Word by faith and put it to practice in daily living?
