A.I. Authentic Intelligence - “Authentic Life” Luke 6-20-26
The title says it all…we all want a authentic life. When my kids were little we had a bedtime ritual. Every night I would tuck them into bed and bless them. I would pray three scripture over them kiss them good night and off into dreamland they would go. On nights I was away I would call home and bless them over the phone. It was a sweet thing for them and for me. They loved the blessings and I loved giving them. I wanted to be a real father to them…to live in authenticity. God has that same desire for us. Jesus said…that even us sinful fathers know how to bless, even so our heavenly father will do more. As we follow God in authentic intelligence we must come to the oblivious reality God wants to bless your life.
Luke 11:13
If you then, even though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit (good gifts) to those who ask him!
1. The authentic life starts in your heart…
Matthew 15:18-19
“But the words you speak come from the heart, that is what defiles you. For from the heart comes evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.”
2. God bless those who are….
Luke 6:20-23
“Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said, “God bless you who are poor, for the kingdom of God is yours. God bless you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. God bless you who weep now, for in due time you will laugh. What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man. When that happens, be happy! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, their ancestors treated the ancient prophets that same way.”
3. Jesus warns us about what is not authentic.
Luke 6:24-26
“What sorrow awaits you who are rich, for you have your only happiness now. What sorrow awaits you who are fat and prosperous now, for a time of aweful hunger awaits you. What sorrow awaits you who laugh now, for your laughing will turn mourning and sorrow. What sorrow awaits you who are praised by the crowds, for their ancestors also praised the false prophets.”
