Psalm 34:1-3 NKJV I will bless [kneel, praise, salute] the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually [always] be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. 3 Oh, magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt [lift, raise, extol] His name together [unity].
The bigger God gets in our lives, the smaller our problems seem.
1. Praise cures
seasons
Numbers 21:16-17 NKJV From there they went to Beer, which is the well where the Lord said to Moses, “Gather the people together, and I will give them water.” 17 Then Israel sang this song: “Spring up, O well! All of you sing to it,”
2. Praise promotes the
of God
2 Chronicles 5:13-14 NKJV indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, 14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
Our unity creates a symphony.
Where there’s unity in worship, God does great things!
3. Praise causes
for your enemy
Judges 7:20-22 NLT Then all three groups blew their horns and broke their jars. They held the blazing torches in their left hands and the horns in their right hands, and they all shouted, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Each man stood at his position around the camp and watched as all the Midianites rushed around in a panic, shouting as they ran to escape. 22 When the 300 Israelites blew their rams’ horns, the Lord caused the warriors in the camp to fight against each other with their swords…
4. Praise will
your enemy
Psalm 8:2 NIV Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
Isaiah 54:1 NIV Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy…
People’s words can be weaponized, but so can our worship.
5. Praise is God’s
for darkness
Isaiah 61:3 NKJV To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
Ezekiel 28:13-17 NLT Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord:
“You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God.
Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone…They were given to you
on the day you were created.
14 I ordained and anointed you
as the mighty angelic guardian.
You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire. 15 “You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created
until the day evil was found in you.
16 Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned.
So I banished you in disgrace
from the mountain of God.
I expelled you, O mighty guardian,
from your place among the stones of fire.
