Please read Isaiah 53:9-12 and answer the following questions:
1. Verse 9 gives two prophecies about Jesus’ burial … the intended place and the actual place. From Matthew 27:3-10, 57-60 explain how this pair of prophecies was fulfilled. How does this fulfillment impact your faith in God’s power, sovereignty, and presence in your life?
2. Verse 10a says, “Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush Him; He has put Him to grief.” Please consider God’s motives and explain…
a. What His motives actually were.
b. What it would mean if His motives had been cruel.
c. What you tend to perceive His motives to be when you go through difficult circumstances.
3. Philippians 2:8-9 says, “And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name.” According to Isaiah 53:10-12:

4. Verse 11 says that Jesus “shall make many to be accounted righteous.” Please use the following verses to explain this.
