John 2:1-3
On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

Jesus = The God who SHOWS UP, when we RUN OUT.

Sometimes we are on empty because of a difficult season. However, sometimes, it FEELS like we’re on empty because we have not yet learned how to be content with our life right now.

“The When/Then Trap” = When I finally reach this one point in life, THEN I’ll finally be content.

Jesus’ mother said to Jesus, “They have no more wine.”
“Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.”
But his mother told the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

John 2:6-7
Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water.”

“If you aren’t willing to be PERPLEXED, you’ll never be

John 2:7-8
So the servants filled the jars to the brim. Then Jesus told them, “Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet.” They did so.

The master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.
