2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

“Pray” is pālal - to mediate or intercede; to pray

We need a move of God!!!!

God is calling you to be a person of prayer!

1 Timothy 2:1-3
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior.

“Petition” - is simply asking for something.

“Prayers” - is a broad word, referring to all communication with the Lord.

“Intercessions” - refer to the requests we make on behalf of others.

“Thanksgiving” - is an essential part of our walk with God.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

“Seek” - (baqash - baw-kash) to strive after, beg, enquire,

What does it mean to seek the face of God?

“Seeking the face of God” - to actively pursue the PRESENCE, CHARACTER, and HEART of God.

God is not just looking for your EXTERNAL activity of prayer, but your internal DESIRE for Him.

Psalm 27:4,8
4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple….
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.

His presence is the PRIZE.

“…Men may spurn our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons – but they are helpless against our prayers.” —Sidlow Baxter
