Read Matthew 5:33-37 ESV
1.Icebreaker - If you knew you couldn’t fail, what one thing would you choose to do?
2.Can you think of a time that you lost trust in someone because they didn’t keep a commitment? What about a time someone lost trust in you?
3.What part of your life would be easier if God didn’t call you to be truthful? Why is it necessary to be truthful even when it is difficult?
4.What current situations in your life are you struggling to apply this text to? What is difficult about it? How can Christ’s call to reliability and truthfulness be applied?
5.How is your truthfulness in a relationship connected to your ability to share the gospel with someone? How does this inform our interactions with others?
6.How have you seen God’s faithfulness and reliability in your own life recently?
