In what ways does the fact that all of us as believers will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ influence how you behave and how you speak today?
How does knowing the Lord is the Judge of the whole earth impact how we love and interact with others? How does it give us hope and put everything in life in perspective from meaning, morality, and mortality?
According to Romans 14:10, what are two attitudes and actions that Paul is warning us to avoid? Why are these two so dangerous?
In Romans 14:11, Paul cites Isaiah 45:23, where God says that every knee shall bow submissively to Him as Judge and King. In what ways are you currently bowing submissively to God in your life?
In Romans 14:13, Paul urges us to avoid putting stumbling blocks or hindrances in front of other believers. What are some examples of stumbling blocks we can put in front of others? What makes them stumbling blocks?
In Romans 14:15, Paul suggests that we should make it our aim to walk in love with our brothers and sisters in Christ. In what ways can we walk in love?
In Romans 14:17, Paul points out that the kingdom of God are matters of three character traits. What are those traits? What would happen to a church if they consistently exhibited those traits in their daily living?
In Romans 14:19, what two things does Paul tell us to actively pursue? In what ways does that enable us to walk in love? How does this active pursuit help us to fulfill John 13:35? How will you plan to actively build up other brothers and sisters in Christ this week?
