INTRODUCE: What is one thing that happened this past week or month that you are grateful for?

READ: Mark 4.35-41; I Kings 18.28; Isaiah 65.3-4a; Mark 5:1-20

DISCUSS
1. Do you go to scripture for: Comfort? To grow in trust? Reassurance? Something else?
2. The disciples asked, ‘Who is this that even the wind and the waves obey him’. What do you think makes a good question?
3. What is an idol?
4. Discuss or name some regional &/or national idols?
5. What is the difference between smashing and nudging?
6. In 3-4 minutes, share either:
a. A time when Jesus mattered more than anything else
b. What has the Lord done for you?

PRAYER
Are you aware of an area of your life you would like to give to Jesus? Pray for those in your group who are asking God the same question.

In groups of 2 or 3, share one other need that you would like prayer for today…

Take time to pray for one person at a time

Invite the Holy Spirit to guide your time

Listen to the Lord for guidance in how to pray for one another
