Antichrist, America, and the End of Days

video-camera.png

The first seven minutes of the above video is about the central position of today’s Christendom. A position that will be crushed when the Antichrist we take a global evil role. The name of (the United States of) America, however, isn’t mentioned in the Bible.

Read Daniel vision in Daniel 9:24:27 (NIV) which says 24“Seventy ‘sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place. 25“Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the ruler, comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood: War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed. 27He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

Satan will bring his evil ruler on earth during the Tribulation period. That man, the antichrist will sign a peace treaty with unbelieving Israel (Daniel 9:27). And he will give way to the building of the long awaited third temple in Jerusalem. He will be a satanic superman. There are about 100 references of the antichrist in the Bible, including the Book of Daniel. The man’s rule will be short, and Jesus will win in the end. Three points are important:
1. God is sovereign over all of history. History is His Story.
2. History is a blib on the screen of eternity.
3. God will have the final word, and it will be good.

Who is the antichrist, also called the Beast, the wicked one, the son of perdition (Daniel 7:8)?
The word “anti” means both “against” and “instead of”.

Main functions of the future antichrist will be:
1. The antichrist will speak pompous words and he will declare war against believers (Daniel 7:25 NKJV).
2. And he will inaugurate the Great Tribulation period, that will last for 7 years. In the first three-and-half year he will appear as a good guy. But at the half-time mark he will set up the abomination of desolation and desecrate the new (third) temple in Jerusalem.
3. The antichrist will come to dominate the globe (Revelation 13:7 authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation). Through “peace” he will deceive many. Where does he get his power from? From satan (the dragon, Revelation 13:2).
4. Antichrist will establish global control through a cashless society (Revelation 13:17), requiring everybody to take a mark.

The bad news is: the antichrist is coming.
The good news is: Jesus Christ is coming earlier, in the rapture. No one will know the day or the hour, except God the Father.

Rapture link
Why is there a rapture? Paul writes the reason to the Christians in Thessalonika (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). They were concerned that they would never see again their passed loved ones.
Some Christians greave. Not hopelessly, but hopefully. We’ll see our loved ones again. Therefore comfort one another with these words (verse 18). There is no theology without doxology.

Second coming link
In the rapture He comes for His church, in the second coming He comes with His church, 7 years apart. In the rapure He comes as a thief in the night. In the second coming every eye will see Him.

1 John 2:18 (NLT) says Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared.

Q1 In this verse the Antichrist is the one who comes instead of Christ. Who are the many antichists?
Are you anti-Christ or for-Christ? Are you rapture-ready and eternity-ready?
