WHAT’S HAPPENING AT EMMANUEL
May 4, 2025
CHILD/FAMILY DEDICATION
Sunday, May 11, 9:00 and 10:45am
What is child/family dedication? It is the promise of parents to offer their
child to God and to dedicate themselves to raising the child for the glory of
God.
Why do we offer child/family dedication? This is our biblically-based way
of helping parents affirm that children are gifts from God and should be
dedicated to God.
What happens at child/family dedication? It is a brief but beautiful
ceremony offered during each service on Mother’s Day. Pastor Rick will lead
the church and the parents to covenant together to raise the child to love
God fully and live for God all their lives.
At what age should my child be dedicated? While the dedication is usually
for infants and younger children, we also allow older children and their
parents to participate.
If you are interested in participating, please sign up on your
Connect Card, scan the QR code, or sign up on the
Emmanuel app.
