One Love
Week #5: Love Wins!
Pastor John June 8, 2025

Love is the bonding agent that brings

together.

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” — Colossians 3:12-14

We all desire to be .

love is the supernatural love of God.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” — 1 John 4:7-8

“Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind.” — Philippians 2:1-2

Love

and love .

“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” — Mark 12:29-31

Christ

is the example of Agape love.

“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” — 1 John 4:9-12

The unified love of God is a powerful

.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:34-35

In the end love !

“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” — Proverbs 10:12

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.” — 1 John 4:18

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” — Proverbs 17:17

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

“We love because he first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19
