Acts 15:22-41

15:35-36 | The apostle Paul was as committed to discipleship as to evangelism. He cared deeply about the welfare of new converts, not about adding numbers to his record (Eph. 4:12-13; Phil. 1:8; Col. 1:28).

15:37-40 | Despite John Mark’s shaky start, he learned from his mistakes and became so valuable to the body of Christ that even Paul changed his mind (2 Tim. 4:11). Conflict is not always bad; it often proves to be a catalyst for growth and Christian unity when appropriately handled.

15:40-41 | Paul showed wisdom in replacing John Mark with Silas at this time. Silas became Paul’s faithful partner in ministry, even enduring incarceration with Paul in the jail in Philippi in chapter 16.
