Read Matthew 16:13-20 aloud together. Then, choose a few questions from this section.
     What was significant about Peter’s confession?
     What does this passage teach us about Jesus?
     There seems to be a change in the direction of Jesus’ teachingfrom the first half of this passage to the second. Why do you think that is?
     Which part of this passage do you find the most encouraging personally?
     How does the authority that Jesus gives to Peter shape your view of the local church?
