1 Corinthians 12:1 (NKJV)
Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
1. All spiritual gifts are from God the Holy Spirit.

And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
2. The purpose of Spiritual gifts are for the edifying and equipping the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 14:12 (NKJV)
Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel.
3. No one gift is more special or more spiritual than another.
4. Spiritual gifts are just that, gifts.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us…
5. All of us should be open to the Holy Spirit using us in spiritual gifts.
1 Corinthians 12:7 (NKJV)
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
6. We have a responsibility to be open for the Holy Spirit to use His spiritual gifts through us in the church.
1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
7. The gifts of the Spirit are still in operation today.
1st Corinthians 13:8-10, 12 (NKJV)
… But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
