Four purposes for discipline:
1.God disciplines us to assure us that we are His children. (vs 8)
2.God disciplines us to bring us the abundant life. (vs 9)
3.God disciplines us so we share His holiness. (vs 10)
4.God disciplines us so that we can bear the fruit of peace and righteousness. (vs 11)
