Temptation Defined:
a) an enticement to sin, temptation, whether arising from

desires or circumstances.

Key Verses on Temptation

1. God is faithful – He has planned no for you. (1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13)‬

2. When it comes to temptation, take action and move with intentionality.

  • Flee the love of money. It’s good to have money, but it’s not good for money to have you.

3. You have to Jesus and His supernatural provision for you during testing and temptation.

Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted. —Hebrews‬ ‭2:17-18

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come

to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to in time of need. —Hebrews‬ ‭4:14-16‬ ‭ ‬‬

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. —James‬ ‭4:6-7‬

a. One of the best ways to submit yourself to God is just to surrender to him in
