6. I Will Always Reap More Than I Sow
Some seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times. —Mark 4:8
KEY: Jesus is saying that if the soil is good the seed will bear fruit, but not the same amount of fruit. Some seeds are 30, 60, 100 fold increase. This is true in any area of your life.
PRINCIPLE: Planting seeds has a multiplying effect, it starts small but ends big.
7. I Can Increase My Harvest By Planting More Seed
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each one should give what he’s decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” —2 Corinthians 9:6-7
KEY: The size of my harvest will ultimately be determined by the amount of seed I plant.
The rule of reciprocity people like to give to people who give to people
Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. 25The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. —Proverbs 11:24-25
PRINCIPLE: You determine the size of your harvest by what you are willing to give up now in order to reap more later. You plant more to get more.
8. The Time To Starts Planting Is Now
Those who wait for perfect weather will never plant seeds; and those who look at every cloud will never reap a harvest. —Ecclesiastes 11:4
KEY: Any fool can find a reason to do nothing, only a wise person will find a reason to do it now! Knowledge is knowing, but wisdom is doing.
Do your planting in the morning and in the evening, too! You never know whether it will all grow well or whether one planting will do better than the other. —Ecclesiastes 11:6
PRINCIPLE: We can never be sure of what the future holds, so we plant a seed at every opportunity we get.
9. We Harvest More In Order To Give More
For God, who supplies seed to the farmer and bread to eat, will give you more and more seed to plant and will make it grow so that you can give away more and more fruit from your harvest! —2 Corinthians 9:10 (LB)
KEY: God wants us to partnership with Him in blessing others that’s why He gives us more seed and causes our sowing to reap a growing harvest.
PRINCIPLE: The more I give to others the more God gives to me! (This applies to every area of life.)
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. —Matthew 5:7
There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. —James 2:13
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. —Matthew 6:14-15
10. To Reap The Harvest I Must Be Patient And Not Give Up
We must not become tired of doing good. We will reap a harvest at the right time if we do not give up! —Galatians 6:9
KEY: There is only one way to guarantee failure: QUIT.
(The devil) was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies —John 8:44b (NLT)
KEY: Don’t let the devil discourage you into quitting by reminding you of your past failures.
Forget about last year’s crop failure. There’s nothing you can do about it. Start focusing on the long-term harvest in your life, not the short-term pleasure. The long-term harvest, without giving up!
Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest! —Psalms 126:5-6
PRINCIPLE: It doesn’t matter where you have been in the past, it only matters where you are headed today!
