What do we know about the woman in the story? Why did she come to Jesus?
How does desperation shape our pursuit of Jesus today?
How does Jesus respond to the disciples? How would you feel if you heard Jesus say this? Why do you think he said this?
How does the woman respond to Jesus? Do you ever feel like you can be this bold with Jesus?
In this story Jesus is in foreign country and dealing with a foreign person. When you deal with need people or “outsiders,” are you more like the disciples or Jesus? Why? In the progression of the story, Jesus walked 100 miles to come heal this woman. How has Jesus shown a similar concern for you? How can we do likewise for others?
