Luke 22:32 –
Simon, Simon, look out. Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.

    • There’s lethargy – v. 45
    • There’s betrayal– v. 48
    • There’s violence – v. 50
    • There’s deceit – v. 57-60

    The Disciples were being – v. 31.
    3. What is sifting?
    Sifting involves out what is useful from what is not.
    4. Why does sifting happen?
    **The purpose of sifting is to us.
  3. Why did sifting happen just then?**
    God was developing the Disciples for responsibilities.
    6. How do I know if I’m being sifted?
    If you’re facing a that causes you to think about
    how much you can or can’t trust God, you’re being sifted.
    7. How should I respond to sifting?
    A. You should .
    Jesus told the Disciples to pray for themselves,
    that they wouldn’t fall into temptation - vv. 41, 46
    B. You should expect that Jesus is praying for you v. 32; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25; 1 Jn. 2:1.
    C. You should Jesus’ example and persevere in your faith; Heb. 12:3-4.
