23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.25 Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. (Psalm 37: 23-25)

1 Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. (Psalm 37:1)

2 But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. (Psalm 73: 2)

I. His Steps are Purposeful
23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” (Psalm 37:23)

And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. (Luke 12:7)

II. He Stumbles but Prevails
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.” (Psalm 37:24)

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. (Proverbs 24:16)

We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair, we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed. We always carry the death of Jesus in our body, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

III. He Stands on Principles
