In the midst of the chaos, it’s good to remember…
“….the peace of God which passes all understanding…” - Philippians 4:7
- Jesus teaches us the truth, BECAUSE He loves us!
Matthew 24:32-35 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. 34 Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”
Q: Do you see the signs of the impending return of Jesus?
POINT: This is why is’t important to be in the Word…DAILY!
Q: HOW do we get ready?
A: Be focused on His
Matthew 24:44-46 “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.”
1.) “Faith and wise servant”
Being “faithful” means keeping Jesus at the center of our lives!
Being “wise” teaches us not just to focue our lives..but focus our lives on the
2.) “set over His household”
- Jesus has called you to be “over” some area or ministry or “good work” you are uniquely suited for!
3.) “to give them their food”
- This is talking about using your gifting to help others grow
4.) Blessed
- Because you will be “found”…”caught in the act” of
POINT: Jesus DOES tell us what to be doing when He comes!
Q: Will YOU be faitful and wise? Because IF you do, you will be blessed and you will be READY!
