Were you surprised to find Rahab’s name in Jesus’ genealogy (Matt. 1:5)?

Read Joshua 2:8-11 and skim Numbers 21:23-25; 31-35. How does reading the story in Numbers 21 help us understand Rahab’s fears in Joshua 2?

Why do you think the spies specified that the rope from the window be scarlet? Though likely not the reason, what similarities do you see between the scarlet cord from Rahab’s window and the blood over the doorpost at Passover?
