1. Shepherd, savior, friend, potter, etc. What word to describe God do you most connect with and why? How do you connect or identify with God as a potter and forming you from clay in your life?
2. How is your relationship with God as the potter being built during lent? Stations of the cross and Lenten meditation are two ways to focus on God during lent. What are you doing to create focus during this time?
3. In Jeremiah 18: 1-6, the Potter changes direction with the clay and Jeremiah asks if Israel could be changed in the same way. How and where do you see God doing this in nations and in people’s lives today?
4. What does God do when we are marred? How are you seeing this in your life or others?
5. The job of the clay is to surrender to the potter. How are you surrendering during this season of your life?
6. Kneading, centering, shaping, and finishing: which part of this process do you feel you are in right now and why?
PRAYER: Lord thank you for taking us as clay and kneading, centering, shaping, and finishing us into something beautiful. Give us the strength to surrender to your will as you mold and form us.
