1 Thessalonians 5:14
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
GOD’S LOVE is not exclusive, it IS INCLUSIVE.
- WE DO NOT AWARD PEOPLE WITH MERCY, WE

James 2:1 - 13
1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called?”
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
(rejoiceth = triumphs)
MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT!!!
- GOD’S MERCY HAS TRIUMPHED IN MY LIFE!
- MY MERCY SHOULD BE GREATER THAN MY JUDGEMENT TOWARDS OTHERS.
MERCY: WHO, WHAT, WHY AND HOW.

Romans 12:17 - 21 NLT
17 Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.
18 Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.
19 Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures
say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.
20 Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.”
21 Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

God was merciful to us. We all deserved hell. We have all done bad things.
EACH TIME YOU MAKE A MISTAKE,
GOD SAYS HE STILL HAS MERCY FOR YOU!
Matthew 18:23 - 29
23 Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.
24 And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents.
25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
26 The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
27 Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.
28 But the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.
29 And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all.
Moral of the story….“If you want mercy, you need to give mercy.”
HOW ARE WE MERCIFUL:
- LOVE…
- GOODNESS…
- KINDNESS…
“CHESEDH” (Hebrew) - “the ability to get right inside the other person’s skin until we can see things with his eyes, think things with his mind, and feel things with his feelings.
We will all have plenty of opportunities to be merciful in our lives!
3.
- We are
- We are
- We are
- We do
The world’s way is to DEMAND for justice…
GOD’S WAY is to DEPLOY mercy…
