Spirit of Hospitality
July 6, 2025

Each of you should use whatever gifts you have received to serve others, as
faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God.
If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all
things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. —1 Peter 4:10-11

Jesus speaking: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your
soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall
love your neighbor as yourself. —Matthew 22:37-39

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to
be used to his own advantage; rather he made himself nothing by taking the very
nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. —Philippians 2:5-7

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one
another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal but keep your spiritual fervor serving the Lord. Be joyful
in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Share with God’s people who are in need; Practice Hospitality. —Romans 12:9-13

Above all, love each other deeply because love covers a multitude of sins.
Offer hospitality to one another, without grumbling! —1 Peter 4:8-9

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter,
and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then
He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They
immediately left their nets and followed Him. Going on from there, He saw two
other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with
Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they
left the boat and their father, and followed Him. —Matthew 4: 18-22

For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave
me something to drink,I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I needed clothes
and you clothed me.
I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer him,“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed
you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and cloth
you.
When did we see you sick, or in prison and go visit you?
The King will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these
brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. —Matthew 25: 35-46
