1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Sermon notes
September 1, 2024

This chapter does not define love but rather reveals to us what love truly looks like. We find these characteristices in our text leading us to what is next: Love bears all things.

This sounds like we are just supposed to put up with everything, but that is just not true. So what does it mean?

Love that bears all things cover things that just happen in life, like flat tires, interruptions in our day, and things such as this.

These are the types of things our LORD bears with us. How does we be sure that He bears this with us? There are three truths that can prove this thought.

  1. Life is going to happen, and we are going to lose our cool.
  2. Life take us by surprise, but not Jesus.
  3. Life does not provide an answer, but He does.

These things proves that He love us. So when these things happen, we need to pause, pray, and ask this question: Lord, show me!

But we must be a Christian. So choose to follow Him today.
