Following Jesus seems to work well for many, but not for everyone

PEOPLE WHOSE FAITH “WORKED”

Some folks with “mediocre faith”

Imperfect but genuine faith enabled people to experience God’s blessings

PEOPLE WHOSE FAITH DIDN’T “WORK”

Some with genuine faith experienced great hardship

Both David and Isaiah are commended for their faith and both die without seeing the Messiah

IF FAITH SEEMS TO BE MAKING YOUR LIFE BETTER…

Don’t think your blessings are because your faith is superior to others’

Make sure you are seeking to follow the Lord, not striving for comfort and convenience

IF YOUR FAITH DOESN’T SEEM TO BE WORKING…

Make sure sin in your life is not the cause of your problems (Hebrews 12:6)

When difficulty comes to our life, remember God’s promises (Romans 8:28)

Keep trusting and following the Lord, because even though it is not always east, it is the only road that leads to joy!
