Revelation 21:1-5
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!”

.
“Look, I am coming soon.” (Revelation 22:7, 12, and 20)

The primary purpose of the book of Revelation is NOT for us to figure out a future timeline of Christ’s return. Rather, the purpose of the book of Revelation is: TO DEMONSTRATE TO DISCOURAGED AND PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS THAT JESUS IS KING FOREVER. It might feel like evil is prevailing, but in the end, Christ has won!

[Jesus says,] I am the one who IS, who always WAS, and who IS STILL TO COME. (Revelation 1:4)
.
The beast, which you saw, ONCE WAS, NOW IS NOT, and YET WILL COME up out of the Abyss and go to its destruction. (Revelation 17:8)
.
The beast is past-tense worry and future-tense fear. But the enemy has no power in the present! Only Jesus is RIGHT NOW.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life.

The job of a ROBE is to cover us. The ROBE is the righteousness of Jesus.
