One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and

out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the LORD. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.” “What can I do to help you?” Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” “Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied. And Elisha said, “Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”
“2 Kings 4:1-4 (NLT)”

So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another. Soon every container was

! “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons. “There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil stopped flowing. When she told the man of God what had happened, he said to her, “Now sell the olive oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.”
“2 Kings 4:5-7 (NLT)”

For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the

of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.
“2 Corinthians 4:6-10 (NASBS)”

If you ask Me

in My name, I will do it.
“John 14:14 (NASBS)”

“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my

upon people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see . In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants-men and women alike. And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth- blood and fire and columns of smoke.
“Joel 2:28-30 (NLT)”

so that we confidently say, “The LORD IS MY

, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT WILL MAN DO TO ME?”
“Hebrews 13:6 (NASBS)”

I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you

;
“John 14:16 (NASBS)”

When the vessels were

, she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not one vessel more.” And the stopped.

So they arrived in the region of the Gerasenes, across the lake from Galilee. As Jesus was climbing out of the boat, a man who was possessed by demons came out to meet him. For a long time he had been homeless and naked, living in the tombs outside the town. As soon as he saw

, he shrieked and fell down in front of him. Then he screamed, “Why are you interfering with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Please, I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had already commanded the evil spirit to come out of him. This spirit had often taken control of the man. Even when he was placed under guard and put in chains and shackles, he simply broke them and rushed out into the wilderness, completely under the demon’s power. Jesus demanded, “What is your name?” “Legion,” he replied, for he was filled with many demons. The demons kept begging Jesus not to send them into the bottomless pit. There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby, and the demons begged him to let them enter into the pigs. So Jesus gave them .
“Luke 8:26-32 (NLT)”

Then the demons came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned. When the herdsmen saw it, they fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran. People rushed out to see what had happened. A crowd soon

around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been from the demons. He was sitting at Jesus’ feet, fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid.
“Luke 8:33-35 (NLT)”

When Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, the news

that he was back home. Soon the house where he was staying was so packed with visitors that there was no more room, even outside the door. While he was God’s word to them, four men arrived carrying a paralysed man on a mat.
