● And that some of Daniels prophesies have yet to come to pass.

● Daniel happens to be the most quoted book in Revelation which is the last book in your bible. Daniel happened to see all the past and future kingdoms. He saw the Medo-Persian empire that rose after the Babylonians. He saw the Greek empire and describes in detail someone who looked very much like Alexander the great. He saw the Roman empire arising and even the time of Christ. When speaking about these various empire he spoke in term of weeks.
So in order for much of this to make sense I need to define what a “week” or “weeks” is that Daniel refers to.
_Week_s = Shavua = Seasons of 7 or a period of 7 years. And so the translators of the NIV just put that in as opposed to the word “weeks”
“
“Daniel 9:24-27 (NIV)”
● To simplify, Daniel saw 70 Sevens or 490 years of prophecy.
● The first 7 sevens (49 years) Daniel saw the Israelites return to Jerusalem and the rebuilding of the Temple. History confirms this as being accurate.
● The next 62 Sevens (434 years) Jesus gave His life for the sins of the world.
● So, 483 of the 490 years of prophecy have been fulfilled, or 69 of the 70 sevens.
● This leaves 1 seven (7 years) yet to be fulfilled.

Until the Time of the End
At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people–everyone whose name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the
