What lessons about sin are we to learn from this disturbing narrative?
I think there are huge timeless truths we need to learn—In fact, if we will allow the Holy Spirit to do His work, this may be the ,most important story in all of Joshua for us as the people of God to pay attention to!
Lessons from the Sin of Achan– let’s see the lie we are told about sin and then see how the Bible through this story enlightens us
Lie #1 – “My personal sin doesn’t impact anyone else.”
Truth: “Sin isn’t private—it impacts the whole community.”
Lie #2— “The church shouldn’t confront sin—just love without judgment.”
Truth: “Confronting sin is an act of love.”
Lie #3—I am living in Sin so there’s no hope for me.
