God’s dreams for your life are greater than your dreams. So, why not learn how to know God’s dream?
We need to know what the Bible says about God’s will and how it applies to our lives. There are 4 principles to follow. The final point may be one of the most liberating things you’ve ever heard!
1.GOD WANTS US TO
This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?”
Luke 9:23-25
2.GOD WANTS US TO BE
Be very careful, then, how you live - not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
Ephesians 5:15-18
3.GOD WANTS US TO BEAR
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Galatians 5:22-23
4.GOD WANTS US TO BE
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.
1 Peter 2:15-16
5.GOD
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4
When you are delighting in the Lord the desires in your heart are God-given. Your heart’s desires are no longer your desires. They are God’s desires for your life.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will.
Romans 12:2
