Unsung Heroes - Hero Image.jpg

We’re jumping in to learn some great lessons from the lesser known “unsung heroes” in Scripture. Some of the most inspiring heroes of our faith were ordinary people whom God used in extraordinary ways. How can you allow God to use you?

King Josiah Legacy Verse:

Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since. —2 Kings 23:25 (NLT)

Family History: Manasseh was the Father of Amon. Amon was the Father of Josiah.

Manasseh also murdered many innocent people until Jerusalem was filled from one end to the other with innocent blood. This was in addition to the sin that he caused the people of Judah to commit, leading them to do evil in the Lord’s sight. The rest of the events in Manasseh’s reign and everything he did, including the sins he committed, are recorded in The Book of the History of the Kings of Judah. When Manasseh died, he was buried in the palace garden, the garden of Uzza. Then his son Amon became the next king. —2 Kings 21:16-18 (NLT)

Josiah was eight years old when he became king. —2 Kings 22:1 (NLT)

What about GEN Z?

The difference between a PROBLEM and an OPPORTUNITY is whether or not I have the attitude and desire to be part of the SOLUTION.

It’s never too early to:
1- make a difference with your life
2- invest in young leaders

Louis Braille

We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders. For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them—even the children not yet born—and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. —Psalm 78:4-7 (NLT)

“We will sacrifice for the future of the church.”

It’s never too late to:
1- change yourself
2- change your family reputation
3- change your community

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. —Deuteronomy 6:5 (NLT)

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? —1 Corinthians 3:16 (NLT)

What does cleaning up the temple look like today?

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. —Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT)

The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. —2 Chronicles 16:9 (NLT)

There are missing components in our world today that can only be found in a vibrant, life-giving, mission-driven church.
