Prayer for Our Current Church-Planters and Pastors

Day Six

There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
—Ephesians 4:4-6

Providence has had the opportunity to plant several churches over the past two decades and send pastors to revitalize several other churches. We’ve been blessed with godly men who have been called to plant, revitalize, and lead vibrant churches. Many Providence families have gone with them to bring these churches to life. In the coming decade, we’re seeking to add eight more churches to this list. But we can never forget our sister congregations that have already gone out.

Lord, we thank you for those who have gone out from our congregation to serve as gospel outposts in communities we do not reach. We thank you for the families worshiping you, serving together, and supporting one another in each of these local churches. We pray for their pastors and elders, that you will strengthen and protect them. Give them the courage to proclaim your gospel clearly and the wisdom to lead well. Amen.

As you go through your day:
1. Pray for our partner churches and their pastors.
2. Pray for the marriages and families within their congregations.
3. Ask God to protect their unity and their doctrinal integrity.
