
LENTEN READINGS: We our reading in the book “The Life of Jesus” for the Lenten season leading up to Easter Sunday. You can find the sections to read each day on the Bible Reading page of our website. These books are avialable at the church. Just log on and read the few sections for that day and then leave your thoughts in the comment section so we can reflect on these special readings together.
LHCC CLOTHING CLOSET: We have set a date to start open community hours for our LHCC Clothing Closet and that will be Thursday, May 1st from 4-7pm. We will then have weekly open hours every Thursday from 4-7pm and Sundays from 12:30-2:30pm. We are looking for people to make themselves available on those dates to move racks, help shoppers, and keep things organized so if you would like to help please Sign Up Online. We are also in need of hangers, empty bins, and clothes specifically for men, infants and young girls, and coats for anyone. CREATING HOPE PAINT NIGHT: Join us on Monday, April 7th from 7-8:30pm for our monthly Creatring Hope Paint Night. Each month Tony Mattera provides an inspiration, a little instruction, and then it’s up to you to let your creativity flow! For anyone 13 years or older, please Sign Up Online so we can ensure materials and seating.
SEDER DINNER: A great way to reflect on the things Jesus was doing in the last week of His life on earth, is to join us at our Seder Dinner on Thursday, April 17th at 6pm. This is a traditional Passover meal that includes readings, drinking 4 cups, telling stories, eating special foods, singing, and other Passover traditions. Sign Up Online and let us know if you are coming and if you would like to help for this special night.
EMF GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE: This year the annual EMF Good Friday Service will be held at Stony Lane Church (921 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown) on Friday, April 18th at 7pm. This is a time for the EMF churches to gather together and reflect on and give thanks for the ultimate sacrifice Christ made on the cross to give us new life in Him.
MAY SEASON OF SERVICE: We have begun planning and looking for service projects we can do during our May Season of Service! If you are aware of a service project that church members can work together to complete in the month of May please complete our Service Project Request Form with all the details.
RI Veteran’s Cemetery. We are planning to return to clean stones and do some landscaping again this year and they have requested us to come on a Friday between 9am-3pm. We are looking at 5/2, 5/9, or 5/16 so please Sign Up Online and let us know the dates and times you are available and we will choose the one that works for most.

PURSUING PEACE IN ALL OUR RELATIONSHIPS: We all have conflict in life: in our home, workplace, school, and even in our church! Would you like training in being a biblical peacemaker? MTN is sponsoring a seminar on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 8:30am to 4:30pm with speaker Dr. Robert Jones, Professor of Biblical Counseling and Practical Theology at Southern Semenary in Louisville, KY. He is also the author of “Pursuing Peace: A Christian Guide to Handling Our Conflicts”. This seminar will be held at Exter Chapel (765 Ten Rod Road, Exeter) and the cost of $50 for individuals and $75 per couple includes lunch, snacks, and seminar materials. POINT MEN MINISTRY: Our next Monthly Point Men Meeting would then take place on Thursday, April 10th at 6:30pm. This meeting will start with some food and fellowship followed by our continued discussion in the “Experiencing God” study. You can join this meeting from home through this ZOOM Link.
WOMEN OF HOPE: Our Ladies Bible Study meets every Tuesday night at 7:15pm. We are in the book of Ezekiel and you can take a look at the study questions here and jump in anytime in person or from home through this ZOOM Link.
“SOLE” SISTERS FITNESS CLASS: Meg Duhaime has started a ladies fitness class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-9:30am. They will do short 20-30 minute video workouts geared to any fitness level. Ladies should bring water, a yoga mat, and a light set of weights. Looking forward to this chance to fellowship while getting fit together!
YOUTH GROUP: Our LHCC Youth Group, which is for middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) kids, meets on the first and third Sunday each month (see the LHCC website calendar for full schedule). Our next meeting will be Sunday, April 6th from 6-7:30pm for some fun, food, fellowship, and discussion time together!
AMERICAN HERITAGE GIRLS: AHG Troop RI3130 is a Christ-centered leadership and character development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. AHG meetings are every other Wednesday from 4-5:30pm (see the LHCC website calendar for full schedule).

TRAIL LIFE: Trail Life Troop RI2206 is a Christ-centered, boy-focused mentoring program that engages boys age 5 to 17 in service & outdoor adventure to develop godly & courageous leaders. Trail Life weekly meetings are every Tuesday from 6-7:30pm (see the LHCC website calendar for full schedule).

USHER MINISTRY: Ushers play an important role at LHCC. They are men and women who welcome, direct, and help seat people on Sunday mornings. They also help keep the church safe and running smoothly for everyone during our services. Current usher can view the LHCC Usher Schedule here. PRAYER MINISTRY: LHCC has many opportunities to receive prayer, pray with other, and resources to help build your own prayer life…
24/7 Day of Prayer happens the third Monday of each month when we commit to have someone from LHCC praying every hour of that day. Next one is on April 21st.
Monthly Prayer Breakfasts on the third Saturday of each month which is a time to fellowship and pray together. Next one is April 19th at 9am.
Corporate Prayer Times happen every week; Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm or Sunday mornings at 9:15am.

SUNDAY SCHOOL / NURSERY MINISTRY: LHCC offers Sunday school classes for Prek to K, 1st-3rd grade, and 4th-5th grade as well as Nursery for children under 3 years each week during the sermon portion of our service. We appreciate our wonderful teachers and helpers serving in these ministries each week. Current Teachers/Helpers can view the Sunday School Schedule or Nursery Schedule here to confirm the week you are on or the lesson you are teaching.
CARE MINISTRY: Are you aware of a particular need in our church body? Our Care Ministry is our ongoing effort to show love of God to our church family in a tangible way. We can provide meals, visits, transportation to appointments, and even care giver relief when needed. You can reach out to Dawn Webster at (860)481-0750 with a need or if you wish to be a part of helping someone in our church family.

Our online Bible study allows you to be in God’s word with others anytime, anywhere through your phone or computer. LHCC MISSION TEAM: LHCC has the privilege to provide regular support to 6 differnt missionaries and ministries both overseas and locally. Often we also have the opportunity to come alongside other missions and missionaries as needs present themselves and provide information and education to our church family about missions.

MISSION PRAYER CORNER: Pray for Doug & Cindy Schoenheit of Awana. Pray for the successful promotion and registration for the Resilient Child Discipleship Training event they have planned for 05/03 in Marlboro MA. Prayers that they would also be able to host one in NY this time next year. These event target churches that do not have Awana and teach them resilient discipleship for children that is centered around their 3B philosophy: Belong, Believe, and Become.

We are always overwhelmed by God’s provision for LHCC through the generosity of our church family. Your faithfulness giving allows us to bring the light and love of Christ to so many in our community. If you wish to give you can leave donations in the locked box on the information table at church or you can give directly through our app or website at lhcc.info/give.
GIVING PROGRAM / DONATION TRACKING: Only giving that is made through the envelope program or through our online donation platform is counted toward your end of year tax statement.
1. Want to Join: If you would like to join the envelope program to give directly at church, please email Kelly at kholdridge5@gmail.com or leave a note in the lock box at church with your name, address, and phone number and we will get you a box of envelopes.
2. Need to ReOrder: If you are in the program and need more envelopes, you can email Kelly at kholdridge5@gmail.com or leave a note in the lock box at church with your current donor number located on your envelopes and indicate that you need more.
3. End of Year Statements: If you are in the envelope program you will receive end of year donation statement from the church that you can use for your tax filings.
4. Online Giving: Donations given online through lhcc.info/give are tracked seperately than donations given directly at church. You will receive an email donation statement for each year that can be used for tax filing. You can make one-time donations or set up automatic, reoccuring donations through this method of giving.
LHCC FAMILY ALBUM: Our church Family Album contains the names, addresses, phone/emails, birthdays, and even a picture of everyone that considers LHCC their church family. You will find a master copy of it on the information table and you can request your own copy anytime by contacting the Kelly at kholdridge5@gmail.com.
If you consider LHCC your family you can be added to the album by completing a New Family Album Form and for those of you who are already a part but your information has changed you can complete an Update Family Album Form so we can keep everything current.
Don’t Forget the Pic! The best part of our family album is putting faces to names, so be sure and get a current picture to Kelly when you join and periodically update that picture if it has been a while ;)
