Hebrews 11:23-25
23By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. 24By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.
- Do you want to sell sugar water for the rest of your life or do you want to come with me and change the world?
Hebrews 11:26-27
26He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.
Finishing faith allows unseen to determine what is seen.
Revelation and Illumination
Revelation is how God reveals Himself and His will to all mankind.
Illumination is where the Spirit of God takes the Word of God and applies it to the people of God.
If you aren’t hearing from God, it’s not because there’s a problem on His end, maybe you’re not in the right position to receive it.
The main way we get out of position with God is through sin.If there is unconfessed unrepentant sin in your life, you will always be out of position with God.
Distraction will put you out of position with God.
Fasting. When people in the Bible needed to hear from God so many times, they fasted.
Moses had finishing faith not because he always got it right, not because he was super talented, not because he was on a higher spiritual plane, but because he positioned himself in a place to hear the voice of God.
Hebrews 11:28 By faith he kept the Passover and the application of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
Your morality won’t get you a pass out of the wrath of God.
PASSOVER
When we take the blood of the spotless lamb Jesus and apply it by faith to the doorposts of our hearts we can escape the wrath of God.
