INFORM THE HEAD / STIR THE HEART —

Please read Acts 1:4-11 and answer the following questions:

1. Verse 1 says Jesus “ordered” the disciples to wait in Jerusalem. Why was it so important for them to wait that He “ordered” it? What does that tell you about our need to wait and God’s care for us?


2. Please explain the purpose of the power the disciples were to receive from the Holy Spirit. What insight does that give you about the Holy Spirit’s purpose in coming, and to whose glory He would point us?


3. What displays of God’s authority, power, and love in this passage help you to acknowledge that He is worthy of our worship and obedience? What internal or external obstacles in your life get in the way of being empowered by the Spirit to be a witness for Jesus?
